Do you use social media in your business? It can be a great first step to communicating and building a relationship with your customers.
The # symbol, called a hashtag, can be used by someone on Twitter with your business name (#NextWaveServices) to mark keywords or topics (#webdesign) in a Tweet. This way you can do a search for Your Business name and see tweets posted. A person can choose to follow your tweets to find the latest upcoming news that you want to share.
On Facebook, the @ symbol is a great tool on facebook to “tag” someone or a business. A person can “like” your business and then can comment on your page. They can also tag your business by saying @YourBusiness has the best desserts in town!
However, if they don’t include a hash tag# with the name of your company on Twitter or tag you with a @Businessname on Facebook then your customers could be saying either good or bad things about your business and you not even realize it.
